Ultimate Halloween Movie Night Ideas

It’s our favourite time of year and what better way to celebrate Halloween than with an ultimate Halloween movie night?!

Ultimate Halloween Movie Night Ideas

It’s Halloween! It’s time to get spooky and indulge in the dark side of life! We love nothing more than settling down and watching a movie (or three!) and making a full on night of it…

Spooky Decorations

Before you even think about the movies, you need to think about the decorations, right?! I recently popped together a selection of must have Halloween items for 2018 as well as a Wilko Halloween decorations review, so check them out and then we can move onto…

Creepy Food

I get so excited about the food for Halloween. You can get really creative and go all out when it comes to spooky food, and there are tonnes of options on Pinterest to help inspire you. My signature party food has to be blood syringes (jelly in a syringe) and mummy sausages (puff pastry wrapped around hotdogs and them baked).

I really like the idea of trying this awesome looking Easy Halloween Popcorn Mix from Southern Mummy and this tasty looking Cobweb Pizza from Baby Budgeting. Oh yum, I’m drooling thinking about making all this food!

Games

There are many games you can play, with the most popular being wrap the mummy! Get some toilet roll ready and follow these instructions to play…

Other games include witch themed games, or you can check out The Spruce’s 19 Fun Halloween Party Games for Kids and for the adults you can get creative with 20 Fun Halloween Games for Adults!

Crafts

I don’t think it would be Halloween for us if we didn’t make something. Get stuck in with paints and decoupage and get creative before popping the movie on. Any guests that come along can take their ‘makes’ home with them afterwards…

Movies

There are so many movies to choose from that I actually wish Halloween was celebrated over a longer period of time (well it is in our house!). I’ve listed some of my favourite below and there’s also a fab list of Ten Spooky Halloween Movies For Kids over at Dad Geek. Find your perfect movie(s) and then you’re sorted!

Coraline

The Goonies

Practical Magic

Paranorman

The Monster Squad

Hocus Pocus

Casper

Goosebumps

Ghostbusters

For the older ones…

Beetlejuice

Saw

Halloween

Scream

Friday the 13th

Carrie

Dawn of the Dead

Shaun of the Dead

There are so many more spooky movies to choose from, and I love the idea of a movie, beer and candy from Anklebiter’s Adventures! Sounds like a perfect way to spend Halloween!

I hope this post has inspired you, and no matter how you celebrate the big spooky day, as long as you’re surrounded by good people, you’ll have an amazing time…

Happy Halloween!
