For as long as I can remember, Zoey and I have dreamed of having a cinema room in our dream home. So I thought I’d write a post focusing on Home Interiors: Our Cinema Room Dream!

 

Home Interiors: Our Cinema Room Dream

We often talk about our dream home plans, from ensuite bathrooms to massive gardens and floorspace (seriously, we have NO floorspace!), we could talk all day about our dream home ideas. One of the big parts of this dream would include a cinema room in honour of my Dad.

When it comes to the design plans for the cinema, we have so many ideas, so here are our top 5 must-haves for our dream cinema room…

 

#1 Projector

A cinema room wouldn’t be complete without a projector! Getting the right projector and screen is paramount, otherwise the picture won’t look crisp and it will end up being a really disappointing experience. I think this Epson Full HD Projector would be amazing! You’d also want to make sure everything was safe and sound, so using a reliable electrician, such as a commercial electrician in London, would be perfect for this big dream house venture!

 

 

#2 Snacks

It would be epic to have a little snack area, maybe even a popcorn machine so everyone can have tubs of popcorn during the movie! We also love Kraxx (sold in our local cinemas) because they’re so more-ish. Can you imagine having this in your own home?!

 

#3 Sound

When it comes to sound, Zoey is obsessed with 7.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos. I’m not clued up on these things, but I know it’ll sound amazing, because she knows what she’s talking about. She’d also love acoustic panels to help absorb reflective sound and improve the audio experience. It would be fab to have stylised panels to match the retro vibe we’re so keen on.

 

#4 Mini Bar

We couldn’t have a home cinema without a mini bar! Imagine cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks for all the family? You could chill and have your favourite drink fresh from the bar – it would be amazing! I always think of Delboy’s minibar, or the one in Eastenders, and I think we’d definitely give it a retro spin to tie in with old fashioned cinema!

 

#5 Interiors

I love the idea of comfortable seating, such as recliner chairs, sofas and beanbags. I’d love it to be a homage to old cinemas, full of character and charm, but also have as much comfort as possible. We’d love dark walls and a dark ceiling, and it would be amazing to have a screen built into the wall so we could have curtains to open and close at the beginning and end of each movie.
