The construction of the pods and adding the seeds, water and feed were really easy to follow. Keeping it plugged in can be a bit of a downside; it’s hard to keep track of costs because my family are ‘switcher off-erers’! So it was on and off quite a lot…

As you can see from the video, it was fairly easy to set up and use, with clear instructions and a nice simple concept to follow. I started off with a melon seed for George (he loves melon), but it had a really hard time and didn’t make it.

After this I tried tomato and basil and the tomato grew! I could see it sprouting after a few days and it was exciting watching its little journey unfold. Over a few days the tomato continued to grow, but the basil didn’t make it…

I think the microgrower is a fantastic idea for the kind of people who like neat and tidy growing options; there’s no soil or mess at all and it’s a compact way to grow. I also think it’s great if you don’t have a lot of outdoor space, you can simply grow inside instead of out.

I can see it making the perfect herb garden, ready and waiting in the kitchen whilst you cook!

You can find out more over at Microgrower online 🙂
