Christmas Gift Ideas for Kids

Comforting Gifts

Molly loves cuddly toys, she’s completely obsessed with them. She often rescues damaged ones from charity shops and Warren fixes them up for her. I think this gorgeous, soft and fluffy Miffy* teddy would make her heart sing. It’s incredibly soft and cuddly and it’s just the right size for the perfect snuggle! You can get your very own Miffy for £22 from Miffy Shop.

Kids need self care too, and surely we need to teach them about it from a young age, right? Childs Farm* have a beautiful collection of bathtime goodies, perfect for any little one. How nice would it be to have all this ready for Christmas Eve, they could have a lovely bubble bath followed by stories and bed ready for the big day!

Foodie Fun!

We recently received a fantastic Popcorn Maker from Find Me A Gift*, and the kids love it! We made a little vlog you can check out here to see it in action. It’s very compact, easy to use and so easy to keep clean! I really recommend it and it’s a bargain for £27.99 (RRP £29.99).

If you’re little ones have a sweet tooth, then Tesco is the way to go! They have this gorgeous Rainbow Unicorn* which would be perfect for a little stocking filler. It’s super cute and only £3.50!

Books

I’m addicted to books so when it comes to giving, most people get a book from me! There are so many gorgeous books out there, it’s hard to choose, but here are some of my favourites…

Town is by the Sea* (£7.99) by Joanne Schwartz and Sydney Smith is a delightful book that left me on the edge of my seat as I read it to George and Molly. I also think it’s perfect because we live near lots of old mining communities so we had the chance to talk about places around us whilst we read.

I really love the idea of an activity book for Christmas, and there’s no better or more engaging story than We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, right? This lovely We’re Going on a Bear Hunt Christmas Activity Book* (£5.99) is the perfect gift for any child…

Walker Books also have a very festive book on offer in the shape of The First Christmas Jumper* (£7.99) by Ryan Tubridy. It looks like a very fun festive filled book indeed!

If we’re going down the route of educational books for Christmas, this clever personalised book all about How Your Body Works* (£9.99) would be perfect!

Toys

If you follow me or read any of my posts, you might understand how much a gift from the Sylvanian collection would mean to Molly. She’s obsessed and can play with them for hours and hours! I simply adore this gorgeous Sylvanian Families Sunshine Nursery Bus, it’s incredibly cute and versatile. You can take the top off and turn the pieces into a set of steps and a slide, or a seesaw! You can currently pick up this lovely Sylvanian Christmas gift* for £24.99 from Smyths Toys…

If you’re looking for stocking filler toys then these lovely Baby Band Surprise Bags are perfect (£3.99 each). They’re just so adorable!

Aquabeads are such a hit in this house! They’re so much fun to use and they work on those fine motor skills whilst producing gorgeous items to keep or give away. We’re a bit obsessed with unicorns so this Magical Unicorn Set* (£14.99) would go down a treat with the whole family!

Games can be so much fun at Christmas (and all year round!), so why not go for this awesome Planetary Pinball* game from Amara for £20.00. It is the perfect challenge to complete before Christmas Dinner!

Another big hit in our household is the Wall Climbing Car* from Menkind for £19.99. George and Molly have so much fun with this car, it’s crazy! It’s guaranteed to entertain the whole family this Christmas!

A big hit in our house is this creepy Wall Climbing Spider, check out our video all about the fab gifts from Menkind…

If your children are fans of Minecraft then this fab craft idea from Boxhead Craft* is the perfect gift. You can get a pack of 2 for £18 and this is George’s…

Stories

How about purchasing a set of beautiful stories from The Magic Inkpot*. You can purchase a 3 month subscription (as pictured below) for £17.99. They are personalised and you can choose between four sets of stories as well as personalise the letters. I think this is so sweet, and the children love receiving their letters in the post each month!

Comfort

Cosy clothing is a must this Christmas, and this cardigan was £7.99 from Home Bargains and Molly loves it!

Ah, what a gift idea this is. I am so excited to share it with you. As they say, saving the best til last. This beautiful pillow transforms into a blanket and as you can see, Molly is quite taken by it!

On top of that, this Secret Pillow* (£50.00) has been hand crafted thanks to Secret Projects – Unfolding Women’s Power. Their aim is simple, to help empower economically challenged women in India, where there are little or no income generating activities. They also work with survivors of human trafficking, living in shelter homes, encouraging them to train through their specially developed programme. THis project gives them key skills, such as stitching and professionalism.

When ours arrived there was a slip inside detailing who had made this pillow, and to know that information is a very dear thing indeed. I think this is a twofold gift, an offering to a child and a helping hand to a woman who may not have had the chance to shine until now. I loved telling Molly about this project, and I hope it ignites a passion in her soul too.

Check out Secret Pillow Project for more information.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this gift guide and I hope it’s inspired you!

Merry Christmas!
