Review: City Sightseeing in Cardiff
We love the city of Cardiff so much, it’s a stunning place to live, but sometimes we forget what makes it so wonderful. We’re all so busy running around and not paying attention, so going on a City Sightseeing Tour is such a nice reminder.
We arrived at the bus stop beside Cardiff Castle at around midday, and we were so excited to hop aboard and head to the Bay for lunch! It was so much fun, and even though there wasn’t a guide, we were given headphones to use to listen to the tour. The truth is, you can enjoy the trip without the history, but it’s a lovely touch…
The bus heads away from the castle and you are taken on a lovely tour of City Hall and Cardiff Museum, then through to Cardiff Bay. There are so many things to see an learn along the way, and you travel past Wales Millennium Centre and some other lovely sights in the Bay before traveling back into the centre.

We headed into Cardiff Bay and had lunch at Pizza Express – they do amazing food and the staff are wonderful! It was nice to have a wander and spend quality family time together.
Then we hopped back onto a bus outside of Wales Millennium Centre and headed back to the castle. At this point, Molly and George were having so much fun we decided to stay aboard and go around again! This time Zoey and Molly hopped off to get cupcakes and joined us at another stop; this was hilarious and so much fun! George sat and listened to the tour all the way around, it was so relaxing and fun all at once!
Here’s a little vlog of our day…
