Tips for the Perfect Family Trip to France
The idea of planning family camping holidays in France makes my stomach flip with happy butterflies. The thought of jetting off and checking out new and beautiful French sights alongside my family is uplifting and a little daunting all at once. This is why I’ve popped together a few Tips for the Perfect Family Trip to France, to help anyone else out there looking for some glorious sunshine on a smaller budget…
#1 Plan
Plan everything. Take a notebook and pen and think of all the things you need to plan. Think about things like where you’ll stay, your route there and back (plus any extra trips), how much money you’ll need, what you’ll need to book, what you’ll need to take with you. Get it all down in writing and half the job is complete, you just need to work through the list!
#2 Insurance
Make sure you have insurance to cover any accidents you or your family members may have. It’s best to have this sorted sooner, rather than later, to take the worry off your mind. You can find reputable companies by using simple online searches or comparison websites.
#3 Money
Make sure you’ve budgeted well for the trip, including money for food and activities, as well as travel. Make sure you exchange it ahead of the trip (you can do this easily online and then collect at the post office). You could also ring your bank to check on any charges if you pay on your card abroad.
#4 Have fun!
I know it’s been a bit practical, but there is plenty of room for fun and enjoyment, once you’ve ticked off your list. Being organised will allow you to sit back and enjoy your family holiday, and hopefully you’ll get some sunshine and relaxation along the way!
