The Littlest Reindeer follows the story of Elliot, a little horse keen to be one of the Christmas reindeer. With an all-star voice cast and lots of festive adventures, this is a Christmas film full of cheer.
Movie Review: The Littlest Reindeer
We were so excited to settle down and watch The Littlest Reindeer. We love a good movie night, so we got some snacks and settled down to enjoy!
The story is pretty simple to follow and George and Molly had no problems keeping up with the storyline. Blitzen no longer wants to run with the sleigh, so there’s a big opportunity for another reindeer to take over. Elliot has trained for this role for a long time, so with a little trickery and support from his best friend Hazel, he shows everyone exactly what he’s made of!
Elliot is incredibly cute and it’s hard not to support him in his dreams. He has so much heart and determination, characteristics I want my children to admire. Hazel is quirky and cute and such an amazing friend, so watching them on their adventure was very enjoyable indeed!
There are a few ropey accents, but the vibe and themes overshadow this negative element of the film. I loved the animation and all the Christmas feels, it made us get into the festive spirit (not that it takes a lot!).
I think this is a sweet movie, with some good moral storylines and a lot of fun to be had. Make sure you check it out!
