London Hotspots Influencers Can’t Get Enough Of

Do you have a favourite influencer on Instagram who seems to live the life you’ve always wanted to live and is always visiting the coolest places? Do you have friends who are forever grabbing amazing shots of parts of London you’ve never heard of? Well now it’s time for you to skip around the UK’s capital and visit the up-and-coming Instagram hotspots for yourself. These are the places that influencers just love, so you’ll be following in the footsteps of those really in the know. Head to these spots, find the best angle and snap your best ever Insta pic!
Sketch’s toilets
It might seem odd to start an Insta pic list with some latrines, but these toilets are as good a reason as any to visit sketch tea room and cocktail lounge in trendy Mayfair. The decor of the eatery is fabulous, but when you need to spend a penny don’t forget to take your smartphone. The toilets are in egg-shaped cubicles with multicoloured lights on the ceiling. There are sometimes floral decorations here too. It’s a truly extraordinary place and one in which Kylie Jenner recently snapped a selfie.
Peggy Porschen
This is no ordinary bakery. This is one that has become famous thanks to social media, and its incredible facade. Painted in pastel pink, the outside is draped in flowers, and even a vintage bicycle forms part of the display. We’re not sure if everyone who visits for a photo also pops in for a bite to eat, but we imagine the Belgravia-based bakery is thriving with all the attention.
Aubaine Selfridges
There are several Aubaine restaurants around London, so make sure you get the right one. The picture you’ll want for Instagram is on the second floor of Selfridges Department Store on Oxford Street. The key attraction is the purple wisteria that hangs from the ceiling, giving the place a somewhat relaxed vibe, given its location.
Lancaster Road
The famous houses on nearby Portobello Road are painted with subtle pastel colours. The ones on Lancaster Road, however, stand out far more, with bright blues, greens and purples adding vibrancy and style to the area.
Piccadilly Circus
If you want the classic Insta pic then this is it. It’s instantly recognisable with its giant screens defying (and yet somehow enhancing) the more traditional buildings that surround it. Your best bet is to take the picture from the opposite side of the road and wait for a double decker bus and a black cab to drive in front of it (you won’t have to wait long!).
Now’s the time to grab your smartphone and get on the next train to London. Before you know it, these images will have become ‘so last year’ so you’ll want to capture them while they’re still on-trend.
