Encouraging Imagination Through Nature: Mud & Bloom Subscription Box

Recently we received a Mud & Bloom subscription box to try out. We adore nature and crafts, so this combination seemed pretty perfect for us!
Encouraging Imagination Through Nature: Mud & Bloom Subscription Box
The box is perfect letterbox size, and it arrived perfectly packaged at the beginning of July. Each box is £7.95 (free postage) and they’re aimed at 3-8 year olds. Inside there are four seasonal activities to take part in, and most of thing things needed to complete them all.
Our July box contained the following activities:
- Spot the leaves and trees activities
- Nature quiz
- Plant your own lettuce
- Plant your own radishes
- Make summer flower vases
Check out George and Molly’s unboxing…
The first thing we did was the quiz, because we love a good quiz and it seemed the ideal way to get into the vibe of the box…
It was a lot of fun and George and Molly dived straight into making home made summer flower vases. All we had to do was find some clean glass jars, and that’s pretty easy in this house because we love collecting glass jars! I think we used an old pasta sauce jar and a pesto jar…
This activity was really lovely, and it’s inspired us to make these for gifts at Christmas.
Aren’t they gorgeous? We’ve been manic since this activity so we’ve only just caught up with the other tasks inside the box, but all of them have been as much fun!
This week we planted our lettuce and radish, and George and Molly loved watching the soil packs grow (provided in the box). They’re super excited to see their plants grow so they can enjoy eating them up!
Another fun activity involved us collecting twigs, flowers and other pretty things to make paintbrushes so we could create nature art. We went on a long walk through Bute Park and collected some bits, and when we reached home we sat down to make our paintbrushes…
Molly loved making her paintbrushes, and she was soon lost in a world of colour as she created the most fantastical picture ever…
I absolutely love it and I think we’re going to frame this little cat! It’s just so cute and I love how the petals have fallen off creating textures within the painting.
Mud & Bloom have definitely created a unique and beautiful way to combine nature and crafts. I actually think this is one of the loveliest subscription boxes we’ve ever tried out and I am even considering signing Molly up to a regular box…
Have you tried a Mud and Bloom box yet?
