Today on the blog I’m talking ‘Camping and Festival Must Haves 2019’. I have a lovely selection of ideas and products perfect for camping season, read on to find out more…

Camping and Festival Must Haves 2019

A tent

Having a decent tent is pretty key, right?! WE’ve had quite a few, some have leaked and some have been destroyed by storms, so now we’re back to our tiny tent for a bit whilst we save for a replacement for 2020! I’d definitely suggest saving up for something strong and with great reviews, such as this tent from Millets. You could always push the boat out and go for a bell tent instead!

Zippo Heat Bank*

A heat bank can be so useful for those cold camping and festival nights. You can easily charge this one from Zippo* and use it whilst on your travels! It’s good to be prepared for all weather situations, despite the summer time vibe, right?! This costs £39.99 and lasts for 6 hours at a time and it can charge certain devices too – such a fab gadget.

This zippo moon landing lighter featured on Stressed Mum looks fab too!

Handy Sudocrem*

I always have a first aid kit on me anyway (home education and all ha!), but having this handy sudocrem pot is perfect for travelling and healing any rashes whilst you’re away. It definitely beats bringing a massive tub with you!

Fairy Lights

Who doesn’t love fairy lights?! Firstly, they’re sooooo pretty, and secondly, they are a great way to mark out your own tent if you’re at a festival. You can easily find your way back to your tent with the use of fairy lights and a flag of your choice! They’re also great for helping you see in the dark when opening and closing your tent…

Carbon Monoxide Alarm*

It’s a great idea to keep a carbon monoxide alarm on you, especially when staying for a few days or longer, and if you use gas hook-ups or gas equipment. Being and staying safe is so important, and you can pick up one of the FireAngel CO-9X Carbon Monoxide Alarm for £24.99. Also, don’t forget to check out Project SHOUT, a national campaign which raises awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Cooking Equipment

Having basic cooking bits and bobs is essential. We have a little one hob cooker, but I’d definitely love to go bigger! This lovely double burner for £54.99 looks fantastic, and perfect for family camping. Don’t forget the following too:

  • plates/bowls/mugs
  • cuttlery
  • washing up bowl & washing up liquid
  • windbreaker
  • table
  • kitchen roll/tea towels
  • Cool bag

Food

Having the right kind of food is key, so whether you’re into a veggie chilli or a pot of houmous, make sure you take food that’s going to fuel your soul whilst camping! These pots of Chicp Houmous* are made from surplus vegetables and they’re £1.99 per pot from Ocado.

Jam Speaker*

Having music in your own space whilst camping or at a festival is a great way to keep the fun vibe going. This Jam ‘Hang Up’ Wireless Speaker is waterproof and can last up to 8 hours, and has a 100ft range. It retails at £19.99 and it’s such a bargain!

Tile*

Tile Mate Trackers help you track your belongings so you don’t lose your valuable bits and pieces whilst out and about! This Tile Mate (1 pack) retails at £20 and you can use it to keep track of your keys, bags or anything else that is compatible to the Tile…

Twister Picnic Blanket*

This fantastic Twister Picnic Blanket from Paladone is fantastic! This costs £19.99 and is such a fab addition to camping, festival fun or even a picnic in the park…
