Get That Luxe Look For Your Home, Without Breaking The Bank

*Collaborative post

We’d all like to live in luxury homes. But, unfortunately, our money situations make that impossible. Or do they?

In this post, we take a look at some of the ways that you can add a luxe feel to your home without breaking the bank. Check them out below.

Decant Your Toiletries Into Designer Bottles

Toiletries and cosmetics manufacturers do their best to make their bottles look attractive. But, at the end of the day, they’re just cheap plastic tubs with stickers on them – not exactly luxe.

Here’s an idea: instead of leaving your toiletries in their original packaging, decant them into designer dispensers and then place them in a glass-floored vanity box. This way, you can get rid of ugly packaging in the bathroom and make it feel more like a five-star hotel. For added effect, add a small vase with flowers.

Use Premium Materials

Vinyl and plastic are okay for some people’s interiors. But if it’s luxe you’re after, then you’ll want to upgrade your materials.

Start with marble furniture as this is usually the most accessible and doesn’t require renovating entire rooms. Then move onto adding gold and silver metallic elements, such as vases and mirrors.

Add Freshness

Luxe interiors focus on freshness obsessively. That’s because the brighter the room, the more luxurious it feels.

Start with your wall paint. If they’re not white already, get painting! Then, once that’s done, add bright wall-art depicting tropical or marine scenes. In the dining room, add a bright rug under the table. In the bedroom, add azure-blue elements to the bedding area.

Add Fluff

Fluff, or plushness, is super popular in luxe interiors. It adds a sense of decadence all by itself. You can try everything, from simple pom-poms to knitted ottomans. Whatever you do, make sure that the fabric itself adds texture and volume. Make the comfort factor appear “over-sized” compared to a regular home interior.

Add Details Around The Ceiling

Crown moulding might sound expensive. But, these days, you don’t need a master decorator to craft it from scratch for you. You can simply order ready-made moulding from the store and stick it on your ceilings yourself. It’s super easy.

We’d recommend buying four or five separate pieces and then sticking them to your ceiling following the instructions. Start by placing them in each of the four corners of the room. Then, if you have space around your central light fitting, apply a central piece as well.

Adding details like this helps to elevate the appearance of your rooms dramatically. Overnight, you can make your house look like a Georgian manor.

Add Mirrors

You can’t have luxe living without adding mirrors. That’s because we all want homes filled with brightness.

Adding mirrors is easy. But sometimes, people have a habit of holding back, choosing small mirrors when they could have gone bigger. Don’t be afraid to go floor-to-ceiling. This way, you can reflect the maximum amount of light in your home possible.

So what do you think of these affordable luxe interior décor ideas for your home?
