6 Things You Need To Do On Your Las Vegas Trip

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well, that is how the saying goes. Still, if no one shared anything about their respective trips to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, how would someone who has never been there know what to do? Sure, they could probably figure it out through signage and just walking around the city, but it is good to have a few things planned before you head to any vacation spot, let alone Sin City. 

 

With all that being said, what activities should a person look to participate in on their trip to Vegas? It is up to the individual at the end of the day, but below is a list of six things you have to do if you ever go on a trip to the Neon Capital of the World:

 

Grab Tickets To A Show

 

Among other things, Las Vegas is known for its entertainment. From Elvis Presley to Celine Dion, the stars have come out when it comes to this city that never sleeps. Still, the days of boogieing to “Hound Dog” out in public seem to be over. But where does that leave us? Well, Las Vegas has more than enough entertainment to keep one happy and entertained on their trip. 

 

For instance, there is a deep contrast from show to show in Las Vegas. If you wanted to go and see the amazing Tommy Wind pull off some magic at the Alexis Park All Suite Resort, feel free! But if you and your co-travelers are not huge fans of magic, you could take in a performance by The Blue Man Group, watch Carrot Top do a stand-up routine, see the circus, or even watch some basketball in Ice Cube’s league, The Big3. Whatever is decided, it won’t disappoint. If someone or some group is headlining at any time in Vegas, you know they will be bringing the crowd their A-game.

 

Go To The Casino

 

In all honesty, this is probably what Las Vegas is most known for; gambling. Now, you can bring all of the lucky charms you want, but there are some serious players in Vegas. There is a reason why the World Series of Poker is annually held in the city.

 

Still, if you want to have fun while avoiding getting your money snatched by a 40-year-old man in sunglasses calling bluff after bluff, there are more ways to gamble than just through card games. Las Vegas casinos also offer world-class slot machines, race and sportsbooks, and live Keno and Bingo. So, if you are up to it, letting loose at a casino in Vegas could be an awesome time, hopefully ending with you leaving the casino with some extra cash in your pocket. 

 

Take A Trip To The Las Vegas Strip 

 

When picturing Las Vegas, the first images that come to mind are typically the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” sign and the Las Vegas Strip. 

 

The Las Vegas Strip is famous for its street performers, neon lights, tours, food, and nightlife scene. Yes, a lot of stuff goes on at the strip.

 

There are multiple tours that can be taken on the Las Vegas Strip that are a fun time for all. For example, the Big Bus Las Vegas Open Top Night Tour allows people to, “Cruise the Las Vegas Strip in an open-top bus to see top Las Vegas sights lit by dazzling neon lights…this evening bus tour covers key areas in downtown and the Strip, it’s a great way to get your bearings in Las Vegas, and it includes a guided walking tour down Fremont Street, one of the city’s most historic areas.” Yet, that is only one tour at your disposal. 

 

When it comes to its nightlife, Las Vegas is hard to describe. The scene is amazing and truly one of a kind. Vegas.com says it best by saying, “Vegas is a 24-hour city, which means that when the sun goes down, the party is just getting started. No matter what kind of experience you’re looking for, from classy cocktails at high-end lounges to hardcore dance clubs perfect for busting your signature moves, you won’t want to stop until the sun comes up.” 

 

Now, drinking alcohol all day and night can be a fun time for some, but just be careful of going overboard. A combination of Vegas nightlife with their casinos could cause a dangerous result. There is a reason why there are horror stories detailing people going back home with nothing to their name. Still, if you are careful, that combo could be just what you need to have a grand old time in Vegas. 

 

Death Valley National Park

 

Drinking, gambling, and watching show after show can be a blast. There is no doubting that. On the other hand, vacation is a time to relax. While the unwinding can be done through dancing at nightclubs, a fantastic way to relax on a vacay to Las Vegas is to visit Death Valley National Park. Death Valley, the lowest point in North America, has amazing scenery that you would not want to miss if you ever head to the West Coast. That includes a great landscape of hills, mountains, and a lot of sand (for those beach lovers out there). 

 

Still, Death Valley National Park also carries a great deal of history with it. For instance, Death Valley National Park’s website tells the story of The Lost ‘49ers, a group of gold miners who found themselves lost in the depths of the valley trying to get back home. 

 

There are more stories to go along with the tale of the lost ‘49ers, but most importantly, is that you make up your own stories and memories. By visiting Las Vegas and doing the previously mentioned activities, you are sure to have a grand old time in a city that has remained a landmark for tourists around the United States and the World.
