Femme Luxe Clothing Review : Rocking Loungewear and Casual Clothes in May

Femme Luxe Clothing Review : Rocking Loungewear and Casual Clothes in May

Feeling comfortable has never been more important, so when I’m looking at grabbing a few bits to rock around the house in, I will be looking for comfort as well as style. Loungewear and co-ord sets are perfect for this, and Femme Luxe currently have an abundance on their shop! From greys to blues, pinks and pastels, the range available is fantastic.

 

Over-sized loungewear

I wanted to try out some of the over-sized items too, because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love an over-sized jumper!? It was a great fit and had just the right amount of “baggy”. Sporting a New York slogan across the back, it was able to tick both the comfort and stylish boxes for me. It was super soft inside and great quality too which is always a bonus. It came as a full loungewear set with trousers too, so. the comfort did not have to end there! Again, they were super fluffy inside but also not too thick. I love it when you can feel cosy but not too hot!

I love bumbling around in comfy clothes, especially when these spring showers are rattling at the windows. The weather makes me want to be chilling in a caravan, wrapped in some comforting clothes and a blanket, book in one hand, tea in the other, just listening to the rain pitter-patter all over the roof. This loungewear set (along with the sound of the weather) gives me at least a sense of that vacation!

 

Grunge Look

I also managed to pick up a couple of other bits I have been meaning to check out, a really really cosy plaid shacket, and a pair of high waisted faux leather joggers! Honestly, I love a bit of black, and love the grungey-rocky look, so faux leather trousers are always welcome in my wardrobe! They too were soft and slightly fluffy on the inside, not to the point of getting me too hot, but just enough to not stick to my legs after being worn for a while (if you know, you know!) . I didn’t need to talc myself up to get them on or off, and the elasticated tie waist made sure they fitted perfectly, unlike how faux leather leggings might fit for example.

Cosy Shacket

The shacket was much better quality than I expected, it’s so amazing when you receive an item you’ve ordered that looks even better in real life than it did online. How often have you ordered something (from any website I might add) online, and it turns up and leaves you disappointed? Probably many, many times! This shacket was generous in the sleeves, and if you know anything about me and my hands, you’ll know that I need a generous sleeve! I was able to get it on with ease, and do up the sleeve buttons without any trouble. Oh wow, I hate when it takes hours to just do up the sleeve buttons!! The shoulders again were generous, and when I pulled it on, it immediately helped me gain a little more confidence in both myself, and the clothing. Shoulder room is always an issue for me, being a transgender woman, and it’s always such a nice feeling when I can put an item of clothing on and not feel like I’m not going to fit in it and it’s going to break.

The inside of the shacket was super fluffy (as it seems all of this haul’s items have been!) and I just wanted to wrap it around me and let it cuddle my worries away! I tried buttoning it up and it was fine but love the casual look of having it un-buttoned. I guess that’s the joy with a shirt item, you can wear it in so many ways, from full open casual, to maybe tucked in and half done up, to super duper cosy buttoned all the way up to your neck!
