Your style, your way, YourDesign.

Your style, your way, YourDesign.

love being able to embrace our own style as a family, from logos to
prints and all that’s in between, we certainly have individual tastes
and styles in this house! When YourDesign offered us the chance to review some lovely products, we couldn’t wait to create products to suit our personal tastes!
creating your own YourDesign began in 2004 and has gone from strength
to strength, and we were really excited to review some products from
their site. They have recently launched their website, and I have to say
it’s clear, easy to use and very inspiring!

have the option to choose one of their pre-designed items and either
customise it or leave it as it is, or you can design and create your
very own personalised item.  There are so many items to choose from,
such as mugs and t-shirts, hoodies and t-shirt dresses, there’s
something for everyone.

decided to design our own items, which turned out to be a lot of fun
and a lot less stressful than I’d anticipated. Of course, when it comes
to letting people (adults and children alike) choose, it was very
interesting indeed! George’s choice was particularly hilarious, but the
point is the enjoyment of wearing it, right?!

Both George and Molly chose kids onesies,
because they’re basically obsessed with onesies. I think they’d
actually live in them if they could, and to be fair they do when we’re
not out and about, so it made total sense to add one more to their
collection. The design process is really simple, you basically hover
over/click on ‘Create’ and choose the item your keen to buy. I have to
say the one thing I really loved about the site was the lack of
gender-based sections in the menu. It literally lists their choices as
‘Kids’ and you can then go into the products and customise.

went for red (his favourite colour) and Molly chose pink. I really like
how they could choose whichever colour they wanted to, without the
pressure of the colours being listed as boy or girl specific, although
the photos do hint at blue for boys, pink for girls. After they’d chose
their colour they needed to design their onesies.

children wanted their names on the front, so they typed their names in
and chose the colour, size and style of font. On the back there’s more
room to be creative, so they both went a little wild. Molly’s was very
much rainbow based (she loves coloiur!), and George went down a more
creative route involving dogs and text…

adore their onesies and I think for £30.00 they’re a fantastic
investment. The sizes are generous with the onesies, we ordered size 7/8
for Molly (nearly 7) and 9/11 for George (8) thinking they’d be the
right fit, but they’re a little big. I like this though, because they
can both grow into them over time. There’s nothing worse than growing
out of a onesie within a month or so!

I would have loved a onesie too, but I was also very keen to try out one of their fab t-shirt dresses. I’ve wanted a tattoo for a very long time, so it was a chance for me to tentatively test out my idea…

had to have George as my photographer, and I think he did an ace job!
The t-shirt dress is a snip at £18.00 and you can personalise the front
of it. I added bird images and then a quote from my favourite Beatles
song, Blackbird. I really love how it turned out, it feels really
special to wear and for the price you can’t go wrong. I went for a size
medium and I’m generally a size 12 and it fits well; I can imagine
wearing it for casual or smart events too, which is always very useful!

When it came to Warren’s design I think he outdid himself when it came to his item choice and images. He decided to go for a unisex hoodie
(£25.00) and used logos from his band and band name to personalise it.
He even added the images to the sleeves, and they look really great! If
you design on more than two sides it costs £4 extra per side, but I
think it’s well worth it for the result!

adores his personalised hoodie and I think it will see a lot of use, from gigs to
generally advertising his band, it has many functions indeed!

YourDesign also offer up a ‘free tee of the week‘,
and we were able to try one out! Their latest design is inspired by The
Walking Dead, one of our favourite television shows, and I think it’s
such a cool design!

can grab your free tee and all you need to do is pay for postage if
your whole order amounts to less than £50 ( p&p is free for orders
over £50). You can also have a go at designing a personalised t-shirt if you’d prefer!

love YourDesign, I think there are so many options available and the
options to customise feel pretty endless. I love that if clothes aren’t
your cup of tea you can choose a mug or cushion or many other items to
create with ease on their website. It’s all very easy to follow and the
outcome is well worth the patience put into designing and getting your
garments or household items perfectly right.

I think I’ll be visiting YourDesign again very soon for some more design-fun, both for myself and for other people!

Disclosure: We received items for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
