Review: Oh Happy Day Card Kit From Stampin’ Up!

Review: Oh Happy Day Card Kit From Stampin’ Up!

Last week we received one of the most adorable, cute and quirky craft kits I’ve ever seen, and I’m so excited to be able to review it here on the blog and share it with you. Stampin’ Up’s Oh Happy Day Card Kit contains everything you need to create 20 beautiful cards.

Included in the kit are the following beautiful things…

* A set of 13 photopolymer stamps
* 20 card bases and coordinating envelopes
* Die-cut glittered chipboard shapes
* Embossed sheets
* Printed die-cut images
* Die-cut gold foil sheet
* Die-cut white sheets
* Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Spot
* Printed color doilies
* Baker’s Twine
* Glittered dots
* Stampin’ Dimensionals
* Acrylic stamp block

Plus, it’s all presented in a beautiful craft box as modelled by sweetheart Molly…

I can’t explain how excited I was to get started, but it turned out I wasn’t alone! George and Molly sat with me and we worked quietly (and excitedly!) to create some beautiful cards…

The kit contains an awesome booklet with all the information needed to create set cards. There are numbered pieces and you simply choose which card you want to make, gather your pieces and then layer them up!

I really enjoyed creating this card, it was very simple yet so much fun. The only tip I would give involves the ink, basically you need to press quite hard to get full coverage (although I really like the imperfect look above!) and make sure you leave it to dry because it smudges if you touch it soon after printing. George and Molly loved printing the different phrases!

I went on to make the following card and I’ve taken step by step photos so you can see how easy it is to use!

Not only is this a fun kit, it’s also very easy to use and offers a lovely change to shop bought cards. I adore home made gifts, and cards are just as meaningful, especially when they’re handmade. I love the bright mix of colours, the high quality products and the very cute and quirky designs.

I really cannot fault this kit at all, the only change I’d probably make would be to have a larger ink pad, but it’s really not the end of the world. I am so excited to keep making and producing gorgeous Stampin’ Up! cards for my friends and family, I know they’ll love them and I know I’ll love making them!

You can get your own Oh Happy Day Card Kit from Stampin’ Up! for only £31.50 which means each card costs about £1.60 which is way cheaper than cards of this quality and detail in highstreet stores!

Disclosure: I received this kit in exchange for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
