PizzaExpress: The Perfect Way to Keep Your Tummy Happy on Holiday!

Last week we went to Bude on a pretty tight budget. It was a last minute deal at Sandymouth Holiday Resort, and it was amazing! We’re always pretty careful with what we taken and how much we spend when we’re on holiday, we know it’s easy to get carried away in the moment, so we tend to plan to cook and serve most meals in the caravan.

This means more spare cash for other activities as well as being able to pick up a lovely gift or two for Nanny Kim and George and Molly’s pals. We were recently asked to try out the new range from PizzaExpress, so we thought our holiday would be the perfect excuse to eat yummy pizza!

Their latest addition to the supermarket range is their Pizza Leggera, a lighter version of their gorgeous pizzas. It consists of a light multi-grain base with a variety of toppings and they are the perfect size for one person to have as a main meal.

The options are Chicken & Vegetable, Prawn & Broccoli, and Squash, Kale & Goat’s Cheese. We tried out Chicken & Vegetable and Squash, Kale & Goat’s Cheese. They are the perfect size for one, but of course Warren and I shared!

With such beautiful weather, pizza was a match made in heaven for us and our family…

Both were very delicious and very light- I love the healthy base used! I think we both loved the Chicken & Vegetable most; the pesto flavouring was delicious. These are a snip at £4.25, and I think they’re the perfect way to celebrate sunny days because, let’s face it, the British weather is so unpredictable!

Pizza is such a sharing kinda meal, so the same week we tried out the limited edition Zapparoli; spiced chicken, smoke flavour creamed corn & roquito chilli pepper with an extra thin base. This pizza was a huge hit for us all, it was so delicious and completely more-ish!

There wasn’t a crumb left and we were left satisfied and looking forward to trying this one out again very soon!

All these delicious pizzas are currently being sold in selected Waitrose stores across the UK, so keep your eyes peeled for them. Oh, and don’t forget to add dough balls to your list, it’s not a PizzaExpress experience without them!

We loved munching on pizza during our holiday, it was easy to cook and perfect for sharing. I think our favourite was definitely the Zapparoli pizza.

What’s your favourite Pizza Express pizza?
