Review: King of Pop at St David’s Hall.

Last night St David’s Hall opened their doors to the marvellous Navi and his King of Pop Tour. When it comes to tribute acts, this is the one act I’ve heard most about, Navi totally becoming Michael Jackson as he performs on stage.

George has been getting into Michael Jackson lately, so it made sense for him to attend the show. After our night out at Killer Queen I knew George would adore seeing another tribute to one of his favourite musicians.

From Bad to Thriller, George has always loved to dance and sing along, and he’s starting to pick up on some of the fancy footwork only seen by Michael Jackson. He was super excited to see the show!

The crowd was pretty psyched, lots of major Michael Jackson fans filling the hall and one little boy getting more and more excited.

The stage was set and the atmosphere felt so fantastic, almost like the real Michael Jackson was about to come onto the stage!

The costume changes were really fantastic, and Navi moved within the audience, driving them all wild with excitement. He really got the crowd going, weaving in and out and having the occasional joke with the dancers, there was just an awesome vibe.

His body language and dancing was also spot on, and even from photographs or video footage, it’s obvious he looks just like him!

His voice was bizarrely similar, and it was particularly moving when he sang Billie Jean, and the crowd really got into it when he sang The Way You Make Me Feel. Oh and to top it off he sang George’s favourite song, Bad, and George loved it!

Time flew and the show was over, but what a show it was. From costumes to songs to the whole atmosphere created by Navi, his team and the fantastic audience, it really is the kind of show any Michael Jackson fan should be sure to attend.

Disclosure: I received tickets in exchange for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
