The sight of a pumpkin gets us all extremely excited in this household, because it means we’re approaching the most wonderful time of the year, Halloween! We were recently sent a lovely bundle of goodies from Hobbycraft including a fab pumpkin carving set.
The pumpkins arrived and the three kids (yes, this includes Warren!) couldn’t wait to design, carve and cut their pumpkins. I think George likes the carving element whereas Molly loves the sensory aspect of scooping out all of the flesh. As for Warren, well he likes the artistic side for sure!
The set includes two carving knives, one is chinky and cuts through the pumpkins really well and one is really thin and perfect for refining your creation! There are also lots of little shapes to use if you need a little direction and there’s a fab scooper that George and Molly both wanted to use!
Everyone got properly stuck into this activity, and I was on standby for any help needed (and photos!).
They turned out really well, I think they looked so great and it was lovely having George and Molly’s on display…
I decided to paint my pumpkin this year, here’s how it turned out. Can you guess who it is?!
You can get a carving set from Hobbycraft for £1, and it’s a really good set!
