Escape Reality for Halloween!

Our household is pretty excited. For us, Halloween is a lot like Christmas, except more gruesome! It’s hard to always think of ways to celebrate and enjoy Halloween (since people freak out at Trick or Treating or there’s somebody who doesn’t ‘do’ fancy dress!), but I think I may have the answer…
Escape Reality offers a range of escape rooms, we’ve worked as family to escape Jungala, but for October (the month of spookiness!) we’ve been to test out The Heist and the super scary Enigmista!
For the easily scared people out there, The Heist offers a calmer escape room, with all the thrills to boot! The aim of the game is to work through a series of challenges to steal the painting and escape. We donned our catburglar masks and off we went! This time there were only 3 of us playing, and we found the initial part of the game quite a challenge.
However, once we began to crack codes and open locks, we finally made it to the painting! It was so much fun, and we made it out with a few minutes to spare.
If this is a bit tame for a Halloween get together, then there’s always their Enigmista room… I literally freaked out at the thought of entering this room, but I went in with Warren and two lovelies by my side and actually, once you’re in there you just get on with it!
Obviously I don’t want to give too much away, but part of the game involves handcuffs and chains…
I’m not going to lie, it’s a tad creepy and certainly not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re looking for something spooky and different to do this Halloween, then Enigmista is for you!
We worked our way through the various puzzles, felt confused, had a moment of clairty and then Uncle Olly broke us out (!) hehe… honestly, he’s a legend. We all had a great time and made it out with time to spare!
I really love Escape Reality. They’ve created a decent amount of varied rooms, from family friendly to super scary. So there is really something for everyone. Prices range from £15-22 depending on the size of the group. Don’t forget there’s also a bar located inside the building so you can have a beer before and/or after your game.
So if you’re looking for inspiration this Halloween, look no further! Escape Reality is the place to be.
