Steinbeck & Shaw Cardiff #swmumsmetime

It’s not often I get time with other busy blogging mothers, but when I do it’s always pretty awesome and full of fun! Last week I headed to Cardiff to meet the gorgeous blogging tribe I’m so lucky to be a part of, and try out a few things from Steinbeck & Shaw’s new menu.

It’s lovely meeting up with like-minded folk over some yummy food and tasty drinks! The wonderful bloggers included (from left to right): Alina from We Made This Life, me, Sally from Teddy Bears And Cardigans, Jodie from First Time Valley Mam and Cathryn from Cardiff Mummy Says.

Steinbeck & Shaw is situated just around the corner from the New Theatre. It’s dark, cool, quirky and vibrant, the perfect place to chill with friends ater a long day. We found ourselves a table and had a nose at the menus whilst we waited for our cocktails to arrive. We all had a little taste and then we chose our favourite; mine was the ‘Zombie’ for £8.00. It was fresh, fruity and so delicious- hats off to the bar staff!

Once we’d had a taster of our cocktails it was time for our platter to arrive. We were given a great selection of food including sweet potato fries, chunky chips, corn cob, chicken wings, chicken strippers, onion rings, nachos and pulled pork nachos.

The food arrived hot and everything I tried was delicious, but I particularly liked the pulled pork nachos, they were completely more-ish!

The platters of food range from £10-20, and the nachos are £5/£7.95.

We had a good old chat, drink and nibble and before I knew it I had to leave. Before I left I had a nose around and check out the toilets (always an important thing to do!) and I can’t fault their style. It’s bold and interestesting and I loved the ‘Time to pony up’ lights!

I had a great time testing out the new menus and filling my belly with delicious food! The staff are very knowledgeable, and very passionate about all things Steinbeck & Shaw. I really felt comfortable within this unique cocktail foodie bar, and I can’t fault the delicious food on offer!

I cannot wait to head back and try out more from their new menu!

Have you been to Steinbeck & Shaw? What did you think?

Disclosure: I received a free meal and drink in exchange for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
